RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

1. Overview

NUMYX Beauty Vault supplies professional haircare and nail care products across South Africa.

Due to the personal-use and hygienic nature of these products, returns are subject to specific conditions.

This policy is aligned with:

  • The Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 2008
  • The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA)

2. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)

In terms of Section 44 of ECTA:

Customers may cancel an online order within 7 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The product is unused
  • The product is sealed and unopened
  • Packaging is intact and undamaged
  • The product is in resalable condition

Important:

Opened or used products cannot be returned due to hygiene and safety regulations, unless defective.


3. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive:

  • A defective product
  • A damaged item
  • An incorrect item

You must notify NUMYX within 48 hours of delivery.


To report an issue:

Include:

  • Order number
  • Clear photos of the product
  • Photos of packaging
  • Description of the issue

Resolution:

If the claim is validated:

  • NUMYX will arrange courier collection at no cost
  • You will receive either:
    • A replacement, or
    • A full refund

4. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene reasons, the following cannot be returned if opened or used:

  • Shampoos
  • Conditioners
  • Hair oils and treatments
  • Styling products
  • Nail polish
  • Any product with a broken seal

This applies unless the product is defective.


5. Return Process

All returns must:

  1. Be requested via email
  2. Be approved by NUMYX before sending
  3. Include original packaging

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.


6. Return Methods

Approved returns may be handled as follows:

Option 1: Customer Courier

Customer arranges return delivery at their own cost.

Option 2: NUMYX Collection

NUMYX arranges courier collection (fees may apply depending on reason for return).


7. Return Shipping Fees

Change of Mind / Cooling-Off Returns:

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping cost
  • Original delivery fee is non-refundable
  • A reasonable handling/restocking fee may apply if packaging is compromised

Defective / Incorrect Products:

  • NUMYX covers all return shipping costs
  • No additional fees apply

8. Refunds

Once the returned item is received and inspected:

  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days

Refund method:

  • Card → refunded to original card
  • Instant EFT → refunded via EFT transfer
  • Manual bank deposit → refunded to verified account

Note:

NUMYX may request banking verification before processing refunds.


9. Exchanges

Exchanges are:

  • Subject to stock availability
  • Processed after return inspection

If the replacement product has a higher value, the customer must pay the difference.


10. Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund has not been received within 10 business days:

  1. Check with your bank
  2. Contact your payment provider
  3. Email: accounts@numyx.store

11. Fraud & Security Notice

For your protection:

  • NUMYX will never change banking details via email alone
  • Always verify any payment instructions directly with us

12. Google Merchant Center Summary

  • Return Window: 7 days
  • Condition: Unused, sealed products only
  • Return Method: Email approval + courier
  • Return Fees: Customer pays unless defective
  • Refund Timeline: 5–10 business days
